A congressional gathering involves a large number of people having common areas of interest who assemble to discuss about a particular topic or subject with an aim to reach a mutual agreement or conclusion. The subject or topic for discussion, also known as the Theme of a congress is mutually decided in advance by members of the organizing body. A congressional gathering maybe held annually or multi-annually (preferable), generally being conducted over a period of 2-3 days and involving several intensive sessions.
